How the calculation works

held = booked × show rate

paid meetings = held (or booked, if you pay per booking)

commission = min(paid, threshold) × rate + max(0, paid − threshold) × accelerated rate

total pay = base salary + commission

cost per held meeting = total pay ÷ held

The show rate turns booked meetings into held ones. Commission is then counted on whichever of the two your plan pays on. With an accelerator, meetings up to the threshold earn the standard rate and meetings above it earn the accelerated rate; if your plan pays the higher rate on every meeting once the threshold is passed, tick the box and the whole month is paid at it.

Cost per held meeting is the number to compare across SDRs and pay models: it divides everything you pay by the meetings that actually took place. For the trade-offs between models, see SDR commission models.

Questions

Should SDRs be paid per booked meeting or per held meeting?
Paying per booking is simple, but it pays on a promise and rewards volume whether or not the meeting happens. Paying per held meeting ties pay to a delivered meeting, and the SDR carries the attendance risk. Switch the "Pay is based on" option to see how the same numbers come out under each.
How does the accelerator work here?
Fill in a threshold and an accelerated rate. By default the accelerated rate applies only to the meetings above the threshold. Tick "Apply the accelerated rate to every meeting" if your plan pays the higher rate on all meetings once the threshold is passed. Leave both fields blank for a flat rate.
Why is the cost per held meeting higher than the rate per meeting?
Everything you pay for the month is divided by the held meetings only. A base salary, and pay for booked meetings that did not take place (when you pay per booking), are spread over the meetings that did.
Does the result include taxes, employer costs or tools?
No. It is the SDR pay you enter: base salary plus commission. Employer contributions, holiday pay, software and management time are not included.
Is what I type stored anywhere?
No. The calculation runs in your browser and the numbers you enter are not sent to us.

Commission from the meetings themselves

Dialbrew creates one commission row per booking from the meeting and its outcome — held, no-show or rescheduled — using the SDR commission set on each client's product, then takes it through approve and pay. See it on your own commission model.

One booked meeting pays for an SDR's seat for the month.
